WHAT IS SPLIT LEATHER?

The second layer of cowhide leather, also known as split or corrected grain leather, is a thick leather with one layer machine-cut. This type of leather retains the remainder of the top layer of leather and, after processing, acquires some elasticity and plasticity. Split leather also offers a certain level of environmental protection as it fully utilizes cowhide leather resources and reduces waste, while preserving the original characteristics of the leather.
